what is the best dark roast coffee

hey guys, what's going on? it's steve cronin, and it is time for the top 5- the top 5- nootropics of 2016. as we are now in the first few days of 2017, i thought it would be nice to take a look back at the past year- past couple years, really- and see if we can't come together and build

what is the best dark roast coffee, a top 5 list. and so, that list is coming up. alright so, if it is your first watching a video on my channel, i want to welcome you. thanks for watching. i want to let you know that this channel is all about how to

increase your focus and productivity in your professional life, whether that be at work or at school. and sometimes, that involves taking cognitive enhancing supplements called nootropics. and in this video, i'm going to give you my top 5 favorite ones. and by the way, stay tuned. because at the end of this video, i will show you how you can win your own free nootropic, because i give away nootropics, for free, every week. stay tuned, i'll let you know at the end of the video.

now, it is important to remember that i am not a doctor; not a physician. i am simply sharing my experiences with these nootropics, and you should absolutely consult your physician before taking any of this stuff. because, i don't give medical advice. alright, #5: we have optimind! optimind is what i like to think of as an energy drink inside of a capsule. and so, it's not a nootropic in the traditional sense of cognitive enhancement. but, the reason why optimind has a special place in my heart is because it helped me ween off those

sugar energy drinks. it provides, for me, the same subjective benefit of drinking something like a monster or a red bull, etc., but you don't get any sugar and you get some really fantastic ingredients. some which aren't even in the energy drinks themselves. and, what's really cool about optimind is if you use my link in the description below, they will send you 5 days for free. you don't have to pay for the free sample, right? you don't even have to pay for shipping. you just give them your address and

they send you drugs. it's pretty cool. that's optimind in at #5. it's an energy drink inside of a capsule. alright, at #4 it is alpha brain instant. now, alpha brain, of course, is the all natural nootropic made from on it laboratories. those of you who listen to someone like joe rogan are very familiar with on it and alpha brain. the reason why i have alpha brain instant, however, on my top 4 is because of its powder form. when you drink something- when you take this powder and you mix it

with some water- cold water, warm water, whatever- and you drink it, your absorption rate is going to be faster, therefore you're going to feel the effects more quickly and more intensely. the down side of this is that it won't last as long as alpha brain's counterpart, which is a standard, traditional alpha brain, which comes in the capsules. however, for those people who are just getting into nootropics or for those people who aren't a fan of the subtleties of nootropics, i really recommend the alpha

brain instant for those wanting to give alpha brain a shot. especially since it can be quite pricey. again, you can find this and links to everything i'm talking about in the description below. alright, and coming in at #3 is, in my opinion, the ultimate nootropic drink. it is called cronin coffee. and yes, of course, i am steve cronin, so i am a little bit biased because this is my own stack that i have created. now, it is a little bit different, for those of you who have been watching my channel for a while. you may have

seen a video called 'how to make smart drug coffee'. well, cronin coffee- i've been playing around with trying to make nootropic smart drug infused coffee for a while and i have a new recipe. call it cronin coffee. and it's coming at #3. here's how you make it. so first, you start off with some coffee. this happens to be allegra from whole foods. you can use whatever. you can use the bulletproof coffee if you want. you can use cafã© imus[?] a site i really like. they have some great

organic coffee. you can even use the on it coffee if you wish. any kind of ground, high quality- it's just super important that you get high quality coffee beans, again, to avoid the mycotoxin issue. and also, when you drink cheap coffee, at least for me, i feel like crap afterwards. so go ahead and spend the money and get high quality coffee. and you're going to make your standard bulletproof coffee out of that to begin with. which means your mct oil and your organic grass fed unsalted butter.

check out my 'how to make bulletproof coffee' video as a supplement to the cronin coffee, because there's some more steps coming up. alright, next what you're going to do is you're going to add a packet of lion's mane mushroom, a nootropic mushroom. i use the one from four sigmatic. you're going to open this box up. you're going to take a packet, open it, dip it in your coffee. now, one thing this does have is stevia in it. so, watch out, there is a bit of stevia in here, so it is going to be on the sweet side. but, the

flavor profile is going to change because we have some more ingredients to add. and we can even pause right here and the bulletproof coffee plus the lion's mane is already a very incredibly powerful nootropic drink, but it's not cronin coffee, so we're going to move forward a little bit here. next thing we're going to do is we're going to add some nootropics to the coffee. what i like to do is add small amounts of aniracetam and choline. this aniracetam happens to be from powder city, and the choline in bulk

form i don't happen to have around me at the moment. however, i do have choline in the form of alpha gpc capsules. but again, for the purposes of a drink, of course, you want to get it in its powder form. now, be careful about the dosing. you need to be careful about dosing anyway, to begin with, right? because you don't want to take too much; you don't want to take too little. you want to get the good effects. and watch my other videos on aniracetam and choline to get an idea of what the dosing

is like. and you can also do your googling and search whatever. however, in terms of a drink, flavor profile- you want to take that into consideration. you don't want to drink coffee every morning that tastes disgusting. and aniracetam and choline in your coffee doesn't taste that great. now, if you use small amounts which still will be effective because you're essentially stacking these ingredients with something like the lion's mane with something like a bulletproof coffee, you can get away

with using lesser amounts of aniracetam and choline in the cronin coffee versus if you were just going to take aniracetam and choline separately without any kind of drink form added to it. so, take that into consideration. it might have a little bit of experimentation on your part to see what your flavor profile is like; what your pallet is like and what your pallet enjoys. i personally like aniracetam. some people prefer oxiracetam. i don't respond well to oxiracetam. i think it's a bit too strong.

but the benefit of oxiracetam- again, i have a youtube video on that- the benefit of oxiracetam in a drink, in something like cronin coffee, is that the flavor profile- for whatever reason, the oxiracetam is much more tolerable. so, definitely worth looking into if you want to try out cronin coffee and then tweak it yourself and make your own nootropic coffee stack. it is worth mentioning that four sigmatic has an instant coffee that they make that already contains the lion's mane, as well as chaga. but, the dosage, the amount of

lion's mane in the mushroom coffee isn't as much as in the standard elixir. so if you're out on the go, great, just use this. but if you're at home at your apartment or whatever, or at work at the office, and you have a few minutes to make the coffee, i would severely recommend going with the good stuff. alright. #2, we have a russian nootropic called semax. check out my semax video. it is an unusual nootropic in terms of its method of delivery. you take it intranasaly, which can freak some people out. but, i rate this at #2 for

two reasons. number one, if you're new to nootropics and you're kind of like taking nootropics and you're like, "they don't work for me, blah, blah, blah." and i've made videos about what to do when they don't work. semax is different, kind of in a similar way to the alpha brain instant in that it is something that you feel pretty quickly, and it is not a subtle experience, because of its method of delivery, intranasaly. the second reason why i like it, not only because you can feel it and it's fast acting,

but it is powerful stuff. it increases not only your focus, but for me also motivation, and it only lasts for a couple hours, sometimes even less. which, can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you want. but if you are in the case scenario where you just want to be motivated in the zone for an hour or two, and you want to get that rush as quick as possible, semax might be right for you. check it out in the links below. and here we go, at #1, the #1 nootropic of 2016 is- can i

get a drumroll? i wonder if i should add audio effects in my videos. but, anyway. prolonging it. i'm sorry for the anticlimactic moment here. the drumroll. oh, you almost already saw it. it is the nexus by axon labs. it is a phenomenal nootropic stack centered around the idea of aniracetam and choline. if you take a couple of these capsules with some bulletproof coffee, you will be locked in, in the zone, focusing for hours, getting done what you need to get done at the office or at school, etc. it's nexus

by axon labs. my #1, i love it. now, some of you might be asking, "hey steve, what about the modafinil? modafinil is great, and because it is rx only in the united states, which is where i happen to live, i chose to exclude it from my personal top 5 list. however, if modafinil is something you can get over the counter, i probably would put that at #1, above nexus even and then just kind of bump everything else down the list. but for the purposes of this video, i went ahead and

just did not consider modafinil to use. that's it for now, folks. you can check out my top 5 nootropics of 2015 to see how the list compares. this is a video i made almost exactly a year ago. and i told ya! i told ya that i will let you know how you can get your own free nootropics, and that is at croninfever.com. you can go to croninfever.com. click the link on the screen here,
