how long do u cook turkey burgers

hello namaste salaamwalekum satsriyakaal; welcome back to another session with your vahchef at vahrehvah.com. see i am a very faithful guy i love all faiths i also faithfully follow the food habits of

how long do u cook turkey burgers, different faiths and my faithfulness to any religion is largely because of its food isn't it amazing that if you experiment with foods that different

faiths and cultures follow you will develop a different unique tastes for different kind of fools one such fascinating tradition is the thanksgiving in the u.s. it is the day when families get together and give thanks to what has made them happy throughout the year so this episode is to thank you my audience i am grateful

that you have made this show quite famous on the web and so to thank you i want to show you how to make a turkey burger but the turkey meat is tough and since it is white meat i like to prepare it differently today instead of just roasting it and showing you how to make a cranberry sauce the way it is eaten on thanksgiving let me show you to make

this tasty turkey burger that you can use as a spicy filling in your turkey burger here i've got some turkey meat which is a minced and it's very lean meat i would rather have a regular meat rather than lean meat for my burgers because i want them juicy when they're cooked so to make this little bit juicy what i'm going to do i'm going to add

little bit cream so what this cream does is it adds that extra moisture that i need for my burgers so to make it little bit indianized i am going to add some finely chopped green chili and some coriander add little bit salt just little bit chopped onion i love chopped onion in my burgers because even chopped onion makes your burger really juicy, garam

masala powder this is an optional thing but to make it will more indianized taste i am just adding little garam masala and now i'm going to make our ding chik ding chik masala to add in this what i did for the ding chik ding chik masala took little garlic, peppercorns, cumin seeds i also added little fennel, i added little fennel

because it gives nice sweet flavor to your burgers so let me make my ding chik ding chik masala make sure you don't add too much of this ding chik ding chik masala add very little and see the fennel i added for this masala is because you know fennel is largely used in making of nice sausages and everything it gives nice

flavor to the meats so i have all these ingredients but remember one thing for the burger mixture do not mix too much so let's mix it little bit and also remember you don't want your mixture to be warm you want the mixture to be very cold that way you know the mixing the incorporation of the cream happens very smoothly okay keep this mixture aside to

make these burgers what you two just wet your hands little bit and then take the meat to the size what you want your burger to be what i have done i have taken little bit water in my hands so it doesn't stick to my hand just make it to the size you want don't press it too much just shape it and then add on top of the pan now our burger is nicely

cooking cook it on one side fully then you move it to the other side would it surprise you if i told you that 675 million pounds of turkey are eaten each year on thanksgiving day in the united states that is about 45 million turkeys that is on one day isn't it hell a lot of turkeys for one day now our turkey burger is getting cooked see make sure

you cook well before you turn on the other side so you know you can see when you see above the turkey is getting nice color till that time you're going to cook it also did you know that the first meal that was consumed by man was turkey of course in space neil armstrong is the man guy i am talking about the first consumption on the moon a lot of times

they put it on a griddle and cook it but many times i like to cook it on a flattop griddle because there's going to be some fat coming out of the burger too and i like to cook my rolls after the burger is finished with that little fat that is coming out and it tastes really really awesome now the one side of the turkey is cooked so let's

turn the other side okay look at this ah so we are not going to turn this turkey often one more suggestion is don't try to press your patty because you don't want that nice juices to get out of your mixture so if you want nice juicy burger just cook it on one side and turn it on the other side and let it cook for some more time on a medium flame i can show

you one more thing if you are afraid that the meat is going to be is not so well cooked inside because not of indians allowed to eat their meats well done so what i'm going to do is here i have got a lid which is little bit deeper so when i put on top this is not going to touch the meat so you can cover that so that steam also can helps cook

your burger nicely without letting the juice escape from the meat now the burger is pretty much almost cooked looks like so what we're going to do we're going to put our patties also on the same pan and the let them get cooked and if you want you can put some onions on one side and let these also get cooked in the same oil so my burger is almost ready we got

the burger rolls what we're going to do we're going to put some lettuce on the side and then we're going to put these onions which are nicely cooked on top here so we got i put some lettuce on one of the burger roll and the other piece i'm going to put the burger now if you want to add cheese you can sprinkle some cheese okay why not i'll add some cheese

also okay you can add little bit cheese if you want and then i've got some mint chutney this is very beautiful i'm going to apply little bit but if you want to use any mayonnaise anything it's up to you but you don't have to try this my god even i don't know what this combination i'm up to but doesn't this look like the burger that

they show on advertisements on tv but when you actually go to buy this burger it'll be like a flat cardboard kind of meat inside it so make your own burger at home and for the thanksgiving if you're scared to roast a turkey at least get some turkey meat and make nice burgers for your family ah oh wow hmm look at this nice juicy hmm literally

the burger melts in the mouth trust me the mint and the turkey burger excellent so if you are thankful that you have discovered vahrehvah.com and your kids husband whatever spouses are thanking you for making excellent lunch and dinner with more variety please come back and tell me what else you want to see on my show remember that vahrehvah is
